Terms of Use

Updated July 28, 2026. By using Curio (curioroom.net), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Curio is a free browser-based game for two players in a private room, plus related pages such as guides on the blog. Features can change, pause, or shut down when we need to maintain or improve the product. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Curio is not a dating service, not a social network with public profiles, and not a marketplace. Rooms are designed for two players at a time.

Eligibility

You must be old enough to use online services under the laws of your country. If you use Curio on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: harass, threaten, or abuse other players; share illegal content; spam rooms or automate abuse; attempt to break, scrape excessively, or overload the service; impersonate others in a harmful way; or use Curio to violate applicable law.

Chat includes a report option. We may remove access, end rooms, or block repeat abuse. Serious or illegal activity may be reported to authorities when required.

Your content

Nicknames, chat messages, and answers you submit stay associated with a temporary room. You are responsible for what you send. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share. We may remove content that violates these terms.

Intellectual property

Curio’s name, branding, site design, game prompts, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may link to Curio and quote short excerpts with credit. You may not copy the product wholesale, mirror the site, or present Curio as your own service.

Advertising and third parties

Content pages may show ads. Third-party services (such as analytics or ad networks) have their own terms. Links to other sites are not endorsements. Our Privacy Policy explains data practices in more detail.

No warranty

Curio is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that every session will complete, that every message will deliver, or that the service will be error-free. Use it at your own discretion.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Curio and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or service interruptions arising from use of the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent allowed.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The Updated date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms for future use.
